I am a rule follower.
Who likes to bend the rules?

Punctuation is important!
Provides clarity, consistency,
complacency.
Yet sometimes we must question those marks,
cease fully trusting those full stops
For even lines that exclaim
contain a quiet period if you look closely

Sometimes I am just as confused as a semicolon
but I refuse to comply with broken rules

Instead we must slash old narratives
to redefine what lies in the ellipses

After all…
