Pet Love & Loss
This is a home for poems related to loving and losing a pet or pets. Like many of us, for Paige pets are so much more than animal roommates we care for. They are both our children and our own caretakers, they are our friends- often our best friends. Some people call them soul-pets. Paige likes to think of them as soul-companions, and believes you can absolutely have more than one in a lifetime.
Content Warning: some poetry touches on themes of death, afterlife, and the many complex and emotional threads of grief.
Please read with care. And know you are not alone.
